CPD’s involvement in the Building 360 project started in 2019 initially being engaged by Multiplex under ECI to aid in buildability, logistics and installation methodology. Following subsequent ECI’s CPD was contracted to deliver the logistics, temporary works and installation contract in late 2021.
The building is primarily built from sustainably sourced Mass Engineered Timber, mainly Glulam (GLT) and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). The mass structure is now nearing completion with in excess of 1800 members installed, including some of the largest timber beams ever imported into Australia.
CPD have extensive proven experience in not only site based activities for the installation of mass timber structures, but also design, manufacturing and connection detailing.
The project is a truly innovative, truly sustainable building, and CPD are looking forward to being part of many more to come.
